Deckhand for Luxury Yachts in Ibiza (May - October)

• Salary Range: €2,500 - €3,000 per month

About the Role
You will be working on a dedicated 20m+ yacht, offering you the most beautiful office in the world.

We are looking for a dedicated and service-oriented Deckhand to join a luxury yacht in Ibiza for the summer season. Working alongside an experienced Captain, you will be responsible for maintaining the yacht, assisting with operations, and ensuring top-tier service for guests on board. 

This is an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about yachting and hospitality, looking to gain experience in a dynamic and professional environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Captain in managing all aspects of yacht operations.

• Perform technical checks and general maintenance to ensure the yacht remains in pristine condition.

• Clean and maintain both the interior and exterior of the yacht to the highest standards.

• Handle mooring and docking procedures, assisting with berthing in various ports.

• Manage and organize inventory, ensuring all supplies are stocked and ready for guest use.

• Provide exceptional service to guests, including preparing drinks and light meals, setting up water toys (e.g., Seabobs, paddleboards), and ensuring their comfort.

• Ensure safety measures are upheld on board at all times.

Working Relationship with the Captain
As a Deckhand, you will work closely with the Captain, forming a two-person team responsible for all yacht operations. This means a high level of teamwork, trust, and communication is essential. During trips, you will live onboard with the Captain, making adaptability and a positive attitude crucial to maintaining a smooth and enjoyable working relationship.

What We Are Looking For
Required:

• Fluent in English; additional languages (Spanish, French, or German) are a plus.

• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to exceptional service.

• Driving license (Category B).

• Strong hands-on approach to maintenance tasks.

• Flexible working hours and a willingness to work extended periods when required, including long days at sea.

Preferred:

• Previous experience in a hospitality environment (yachting, luxury hotels, or fine dining) is desirable.

• Powerboat Level 2 (commercially endorsed) or equivalent small vessel license preferred.

• STCW Basic Safety Training and ENG1 Medical Certificate.
